How Intention Shapes Every Sound Bath You Hear
❤️ My dear Vibe Tribe,
There is one thing I come back to every single time I sit down with my crystal bowls: intention.
In this short guide, I want to give you a peek into how I design my sound baths, how I work with intention, and how your own inner focus plays a powerful role in what you feel.
You and I are co-creating the experience. ☺️

✨ “Don’t all your sound baths sound the same?”
I get questions like this a lot.
It is a fair question. To the ear, many of my sound baths may seem similar. You will often hear some of the same bowls, similar progressions, and familiar patterns.
The simple answer is this: yes, they are similar, but they are never the same.
What you may not hear on the surface is what is happening inside my mind, my heart, and my imagination. That is where the deeper differences live.
✨ How I actually design a sound bath
When I play the singing bowls, I do not just think in terms of notes and tones. I create stories in my head.
Each bowl has a personality. Each bowl is a character.
Here is how I build a sound bath session:
1. Choose the intention
I start by asking, “What is this for?”
Maybe it is for emotional release, deep sleep, grounding, focus, or heart opening.
2. Select bowls based on chakra and tone
I pick bowls that match the energy centers I want to work with. Root for safety and grounding, heart for connection and compassion, third eye for insight, and so on.
3. Create a sequence or “journey”
I think of it like a story arc. The order and pacing of the bowls support that.
4. Play with imagery and feeling
While I play, I am visualizing scenes, colors, and sensations that match the intention. These visuals influence how my hands move, how long I linger on a tone, and how gently or firmly I tap a bowl.
The physical sounds might be similar from session to session, but my inner world is different each time. My thoughts are different. My visualizations are different. My emotional state is different. Those subtle, invisible differences are often felt on a subconscious level.
You may not be able to point to exactly why one sound bath feels like a gentle reset and another feels like a deep release, but your body knows. Your nervous system knows. That is the quiet power of intention.
✨ I do not heal you. I hold space for you.
This part is really important to me.
I do not believe I am the one healing anyone. I am not “fixing” you or doing something to you.
My role is to:
🧘 Offer vibrations in their natural, harmonious state
🧘 Hold a safe space for you to relax into
🧘 Share my intention with clarity and honesty
Your role is to bring your presence, your openness, and your intention.
When your intention meets the frequencies I play, you are more open to healing yourself. Sometimes it is big and emotional. Sometimes it is subtle and quiet. Sometimes it is simply a deeper exhale than you have had all week.
All of that is valid. All of that is meaningful.

✨ If you take one thing from this, let it be this:
Your mind is incredibly powerful, and your intention matters.
Sound baths, meditation, breath work, all of it becomes so much more effective when you are ready to receive, ready to soften, and ready to participate in your own healing.
Big hugs coming your way, Vibe Tribe,
Travis (and a soft purr from Perseus 😺)
